Why Would Anyone Want To Be A Firefighter?  ImageWhy a person chooses to be a firefighter is not an easy question to answer. Until you have been a firefighter and experienced firsthand, you can not really understand the reality of all the feelings that come with the job. Have you ever done something nice for someone and that you feel inside? That makes you feel like you’re flying? You feel warm and fuzzy inside and can not really explain why? Well, that’s why those who stay engaged in the fire service. Try to imagine how you would feel if you just save a life or rescuing someone who did not know any other reason than it needed help. Can you imagine what it would feel much for doing that? This is what the firefighter feels every time you save a life or a home is arrested for burning.

Being a firefighter is a very stressful and dangerous to say the least, but it is in many flourishes. Not everyone can have a job so and see through what is a lifelong career. Many have tried just to see if they would like to touch the real heroes of the fire service dedicated to know from the outset that choose this way of life that will never be the same again. No one lives forever intertwined in the fire service, even if they decide to leave the service, will always be a part of it in their hearts and minds. If you’re planning on being a professional firefighter, has to realize that if you are looking for a paying job, that’s not all. You will do well with the salary offered, but in no way going to be rich from it. Knowing this only reinforces the dedication it takes to work.

If you are looking for a job that offers a low stress rate, firefighting is not what you want. To be in the fire service has to be able to handle high-stress, sleep under, and situations that are going to press some of the nerves. It’s especially nice when it’s 3:00 am and is snowing outside and get a call from someone who on arriving at the scene was just lonely and not very ill. You feel for them, but the stress and the cozy warm bed back at the station can really get heavy on this. If you already strained, perhaps a nice desk job is what you want. The risks of injury and death are higher for those who choose the fire service as their career. Many deaths occur as a result of work done each day. Heath also related risks are a real possibility of exposure to all types of chemicals.

With this in mind, again I ask, “Why would anyone want to be a fireman?” I guess my answer would be that along with all these negative features of the fire service, the faithful men and women who have made the choice to do what they do every day are there because they love what they do. They love to help when no one else can. What other job can get someone tot is total service of others every time you go to work. This is a big part of love of the fire to their profession. Now, suppose that all that remains is, “Why do you want to be a fireman?”
